Parts Associate: full time position.
Weekly Stores Hours: Tues 9am-6pm Wed 9am-6pm Thurs 9am-8pm Fri 9am-5pm Sat 9am-4pm
Energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Previous experience in a parts department preferred but not required.
Proficient on a computer and with a multi-line phone system.
Excellent verbal skills and phone etiquette.
Attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
Keep entire parts department area neat, clean and orderly at all times.
Communicates efficiently, works well with others, enjoys talking to all kinds of people.
Greet and welcome incoming customers
Answer/transfer incoming phone calls
Return all phone calls & emails within 4 business hours
Look up parts for customers on a parts fiche based on make & model
Order parts from multiple suppliers daily
Supply parts to service technicians in a timely manner
Inventory management including restocking and year-end physical inventory count
Responsible to keep fast moving parts on hand at all times
Parts logistics – shipping & receiving
Holds a valid motorcycle endorsement or intends to obtain one
Other duties as assigned
Service Writer/Advisor: full time position.
Job Description: Service writers greet customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services.
Service Writer Essential Duties:
Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection.
Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures and prepare work order for needed repairs.
Prepares a repair order showing time, cost and labor estimates for service.
Writes a brief description of the customer’s concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
Handles customer complaints.
Schedules service appointments.
Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
Advises customers on the care of their motorcycle and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
Establishes customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
We are expanding our service department requiring a level one motorcycle certified technician ( BMW, Ducati or Triumph preferred ). We are also looking to fill a position for a skilled technician that is willing to learn and train on our products. We are seeking highly-motivated, trained, confident technicians to join our team at Motohio European Motorbikes. Service Technician: Preferred, but not required, qualifications:
- Successful completion and outstanding transcript from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.
- Technical product knowledge for BMW, Ducati, and Triumph and a passion for riding.
- Valid driver’s license and motorcycle endorsement and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Extensive toolset.
